Working with Data

Shortcut To
Alt+DS Brings up the Sort dialog box
Alt+DFF AutoFilter
Alt+DFA Brings up the Advanced Filter dialog box
Alt+DP Brings up the Pivot Table & Chart dialog box
Alt+IR / Alt+IC Insert a row / column (Insert→Row/Column)

Editing

Shortcut To
Ctrl+C Copy cell selection
Ctrl+X Cut cell selection
Ctrl+V Paste the most recent cut/copied cell selection
Alt+ES Brings up the Paste Special Dialog Box (Edit→Paste Special)
Alt+EST Paste Special Formats (Edit→Paste Special→Formats)
Alt+ESF Paste Special Formulas (Edit→Paste Special→Formulas)
Ctrl+1 or Alt+OE Brings up the Format Cells dialog box
Alt+OD Brings up the Conditional Formatting dialog box
Alt+ED Brings up the Delete dialog box
Alt+EAA Clears all values/formats/formulas from a cell

Navigating within a Workbook

Shortcut To
Ctrl+Page Up Go to the previous sheet
Ctrl+Page Down Go to the next sheet
Shift+F11 Insert a new sheet
Alt+OHR Rename the current sheet (Format→Sheet→Rename)
Alt+OHH Hide current sheet (Format→Sheet→Hide)
Alt+OHU Unhide sheet (Format→Sheet→Unhide)

Navigating within a Worksheet

Shortcut To
Ctrl+Home Jump to top left of workbook
Ctrl+End Jump to the last cell in the last column of data
Ctrl+arrow key (←,→, , ) Jump to the end of the row/column. E.g., Ctrl+↓ goes to the last cell of data in a col).
Ctrl+asterisk (*) Highlight an entire range in 1 keystoke
Ctrl+hyphen (-) Open Delete dialog box. Use this to delete a cell, row, or column.
Ctrl+plus (+) Open Insert dialog box. Use this to insert a cell, row, or column.
Ctrl+F Find
Ctrl+H Replace
Alt+WF Freeze Panes (Window→Freeze)

Entering Data

Shortcut To
F2 Edit the current cell entry (cursor moves to the end of the cell contents)
Ctrl+Enter If an empty range is selected, this enters the value/formula in all cells
Alt+Enter Within a cell entry, start a new line (carriage return)
Tab Move to the next column. If a worksheet is protected, moves to the next unprotected cell.
F9 (within a cell) Highlight all or part of a formula within a cell + F9. Returns the value of the formula.
Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y Undo / Redo last action
F4 In the formula bar, anchors a cell, row, or col ($A$1). Can toggle to diff combinations.
